Jessie “Lois” Lancaster Willis, age 100, resident of Humboldt, Tennessee and wife of the late Britton Lee Willis, departed this life on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Christian Care Center in Medina, Tennessee.
Lois was born March 7, 1925, in Middle Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jessie Lancaster and Pearl Lancaster. She was a seamstress and homemaker who loved her family, friends, and church family.
Lois was a pastor’s wife who was very involved in all of her husband’s churches and the WMU (Women’s Missionary Union), as well as teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and singing in the church choir. She also loved to sing and play the piano. One of her greatest pleasures was singing and playing for the local nursing homes.
Mrs. Willis is survived by one son, Larry Willis (Betty Ann), and one daughter, Sheila Willis McFadden (Greg); eight grandchildren, Miki Martin (Randy), Philip Willis (Casey), Kevin Willis (Harley), Melissa Willis, Jonathan Willis, Ryan McFadden, Joseph McFadden, and Lilian McFadden Parker (Ethan), and seven great-grandchildren, Marlon, Zoey, Myles, Coleman, Palmer, Braxton, and Gabriel.
The services will be held at The Church at Sugar Creek in Humboldt, Tennessee on Monday, June 9, 2025, with burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Humboldt. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. followed by the service at 2:00 p.m.
