Funeral services for Jessie Mitchell Spain, 87, will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at North Jackson Church of Christ with David Powell and Kelby Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Mr. Spain died Saturday September 3, 2011 at NHC Healthcare in Franklin, TN. He was born September 9, 1923 in Carroll County, TN the son of the late Oliver and Zela Holder Spain. Mr. Spain was a faithful and dedicated Christian who served as an Elder of North Jackson Church of Christ. He was a great example to his friends and family and will be deeply missed.He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Josie Arlene Spain; a son Mitchell W. Spain and wife Linda; three daughters, Belinda Miller and husband George, Terry Cozart and Tina Welch; a brother, Kenneth Spain; four sisters, Floy Holland, Bertha Mae Martin, Carolyn Hollingsworth and Ruth Harris; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.Mr. Spain was preceded in death by his brothers, Ladoit and Willard Spain.Memorials may be directed to Caris Hospice of Nashville, TN or NHC Healthcare of Franklin, TNThe family will receive friends Tuesday September 6, 2011 from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at North Jackson Church of Christ.Arrington Funeral Directors148 W.
