Jerald Wayne White, 77, a beloved member of the medical community and a cherished friend to many, passed away on October 23, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born on November 7, 1945, in Friendship, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerald and Myra. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Claudia and his two children, Eric and Margo (Dave Nelson). 
 
Jerald embarked on his medical journey at the University of Tennessee Martin and went on to earn his medical degree from the esteemed University of Tennessee Medical School. Armed with an unwavering dedication to healing others, he began his career in general medicine in Brownsville TN in 1974; later opening two additional clinics: Medical Clinic of Alamo in Alamo TN as well as Old Hickory Family Medicine in Jackson TN. 
 

He was passionate about practicing the art of Medicine and countless patients and friends became part of his family. 
 
Jerald Wayne loved his airplanes, flying and hanging out at the airport with his friends. He was also content smoking a cigar by the lake on a pretty afternoon at home accompanied by his little dog Maggie.
 
Jerald's remarkable career showcased numerous accolades that reflected his dedication to excellence in healthcare leadership. He held esteemed positions such as Chief of Staff at Haywood Park Hospital and served as a member of various Boards of Directors, including the Hospital Board of Directors, Tennessee Medical Association, and West TN Medical Society, where he proudly held the position of President. Additionally, he was an influential member of the Board of Directors at InSouth Bank. 
 
While Jerald was a consummate professional in his medical career, his true essence lay in his personality and relationships. He possessed an undeniable mischievous streak that brightened the lives of those around him. As a prankster, he brought laughter and joy to countless moments, always knowing when to inject humor into any situation. Jerald's infectious spirit fostered a sense of camaraderie and made every encounter with him an unforgettable experience. 
 
Jerald was a giver in every sense of the word. He believed wholeheartedly in the potential of every individual and dedicated himself to providing help and support wherever it was needed. His kindness knew no bounds, and he often went out of his way to uplift those around him. Jerald will be remembered not just for his medical expertise but also for being a pillar of strength and compassion for those who crossed his path. 
 
A Celebration of Life to honor Jerald will take place on Friday, October 27th 2023, starting at 11:00 AM  at his residence. This event will provide an opportunity for family, friends, colleagues, and patients to gather and share cherished memories of a life well-lived.
