Graveside services for Jane McBride, 73, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 25, 2011 at Highland Memorial Gardens with David Powell, Minister officiating. Mrs. McBride died on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Maplewood Healthcare Center of Jackson. Arrington Funeral Directors is in charge of services.A native of Corinth, MS, she was born on October 24, 1937 the daughter of the late Herbert and Ruth Billingsley Council. She was married to Lawayne McBride who preceded her in death. She was a retired secretary from North Jackson Church of Christ and Skyline Church of Christ. Evelyn enjoyed arts and crafts especially her paintings.She is survived by two children, Deborah McBride of Jackson, TN and Dudley McBride of Oakfield, TN; three sisters, Ann Epperson of Humboldt, TN, Nancy Council of Iuka, MS and Frances Lipford of Folsom, CA; a brother, Ray Council of Iuka, MS and two grandchildren, Steven McBride and Alyssa McBride of Jackson, TN.She was preceded in death by a brother Doug Council.The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to North Jackson Church of Christ, 2780 Hwy 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305.The family will be receiving friends on Friday from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM with the service to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.Arrington Funeral Directors148 W.
