James E. "Max" Harville, age 80, died on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Max was born in Glynn, MS the son of Johnny I. and Dora Newcomb Harville. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Ann Harville and later his second wife, Sarah Catherine Harville. He was a member of North Jackson Church of Christ. He was a retired Insurance agent. Max was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. He is survived by his son, Anthony Max Harville and wife Linda of Humboldt, TN; a daughter, Nona R. Adams and husband Kim of Humboldt, TN; two sisters Mattie Celeste Moore of Somerville, TN and Barbara Ray of Jackson, TN; four grandchildren, Michael Harville and wife Katie, Michelle Brooks and husband Jeremy, Peyton Adams and Hannah Adams and three great grandchildren, Georgia, Brooklynn, Cheyenne. SERVICES: A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Browns Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
