Gordon D. Pritchard, a loving husband, father, and grandfather entered his heavenly home on October 24, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and children.
He was born on Wednesday, March 9, 1932, in Carroll County, TN the son of the late Fred and Vera Prather Pritchard.
Gordon's entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and operate his own trucking company called GDP Transportation for many years. Through his dedication and hard work, he built a thriving business that left a lasting impact on the community.
Before embarking on his successful career in the transportation industry, Gordon received his education in the Carrol County Schools. His thirst for knowledge and commitment to personal growth were evident throughout his life. He was a faithful member of the Juno Church of Christ for over thirty-five years.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Gordon proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and the United States Air Force. He dedicated sixteen years of service to defending our nation, demonstrating bravery and patriotism.
Gordon is survived by a loving family who cherished their time spent together. He leaves behind his loving wife, Viola Pritchard of Jackson, TN; his beloved daughters, Penny Roberts-Cooper and her husband Charles of Jackson, TN and his daughter, Dana McCaslin and her husband Steve of Jackson, TN; his brother, Charles Pritchard of Murfreesboro, TN along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their enduring bond and shared memories will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
A visitation in memory of Gordon's remarkable life will take place at Arrington Funeral Directors on Thursday, October 26th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. This will be followed by a graveside service at Highland Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Larry Curlin officiating and Julie Stone, soloist.
Pallbearers will be Hunter McCaslin, Ryan McCaslin, Caden Roberts, Brian Coleman, Brandon Curlin and Logan Coleman.

His commitment to his family, his country, and his entrepreneurial pursuits serves as an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones, but his legacy will live on through the memories he leaves behind.
