Glenn P. Curlin

July 21, 1940 — June 29, 2025

Jackson, TN

Glenn P. Curlin, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, entered his heavenly home on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital at the age of 84.

Born on July 21, 1940, in Brownsville, Tennessee, the son of Robert Taylor and Evelyn Taylor Curlin. Glenn's life was marked by dedication to both his family and his career.

Glenn made a meaningful impact in the credit lending industry throughout his career, having worked for various companies, including GMAC and World Omni Financial. His career moved Glenn and his family from Tennessee to Texas in 1974; with additional moves through Missouri, Florida and Alabama in the years following. Upon retirement, he and Kathy moved back home to Jackson, to be closer to family. His commitment to his profession was paralleled by his deep roots in his community, where he and his family were active members of West Jackson Baptist Church.

Having served in the Tennessee Army National Guard, Glenn’s sense of duty and loyalty extended beyond his military service and into his personal life, where cherished as a devoted family man. He had a passion for golf and found immense pleasure in nurturing his garden. After retiring, one of his greatest joys was once again farming alongside his two brothers, a testament to his love for both family and the land.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn "Kathy" P. Curlin, with whom he shared 65 wonderful years. Together, they raised a family that includes their two sons, Robert Curlin (Andrew Boks) of Jackson, TN, and Richard Curlin (Louann) of Hendersonville, TN. Glenn's legacy also includes his dear sister, Carol Mathis of Germantown, TN, and two sisters-in-law, Betty Curlin of Lebanon, TN, and Joann Curlin of Jackson, TN. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Sarah Kathryn Forrest (Kirk), and Robert Taylor (fiancé Annie Chabak).

Glenn is predeceased by his parents, Robert T. and Evelyn Taylor Curlin; his sister, Joanne Wilson, his brothers, R.E. "Gene" Curlin, and Harvey Lee Curlin.

A visitation celebrating Glenn’s life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Brownsville, TN, at 3:00 p.m.

Glenn P. Curlin’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the memories of the countless lives he touched. He will be remembered fondly for his gentle spirit, unwavering support, and the love he so freely gave to his family and friends.
