Geraldine Marie Johnson, age 73, died on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Maplewood Healthcare Center. A native of Louisville, KY, Geraldine was born on June 11, 1942 the daughter of the late George and Pauline Pierce Taylor. She enjoyed many hobbies including; crocheting, reading and working crossword puzzles. She was a lover of all types of animals. In her younger years she was an active volleyball player and avid bowler. She was Catholic in her faith. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy OConnor Wray and husband Mark of Jackson, TN; her son, Travis Johnson of Jackson, TN; a brother, Marty Pierce of Louisville, KY and two grandchildren, Meghan OConnor and Taylor OConnor. She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Taylor and three sisters, Sandra Kaiser, Debbie Harrell and Georgia Zavala. SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, April 7, 2016 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM prior to the service in the chapel.
