Obituary

Frank "Rabbit" Robins of Jackson, Tn passed away 2-1-2026 after a brief illness, just shy of his 93rd birthday.

Dad was born in Jackson and grew up on Westwood Avenue. He was a gifted athlete and offered several scholarships but decided to marry and settle down with the love of his life, Arianna "Sissy" Thomason. They quickly started their family, first Ricky, followed by Lynn, Greg and Sally.

Dad retired from Southern Railway, which later merged to become Norfolk-Southern. He worked in sales and made lifelong friends during his career with the railroad. His personality and sense of humor made him an ideal sales representative. He was a hard worker and provided for his family without complaints. He sustained many serious illnesses during our childhood but he always beat the odds. He said "dying wasn't an option" because he had a family to feed.

The majority of his working life was spent in Birmingham, Alabama . He was instrumental in establishing the Crestwood Youth Athletic Association (CYAA) where he spent many hours volunteering. He also coached Police Athletic League Basketball. He was known among all our friends for making the BEST hamburgers in town. We spent many summers vacationing at "The Forest", a Southern Railway resort in South Carolina where we made many happy memories.

Upon retirement he and Sissy returned to Jackson to be close to their aging family. There he reconnected with family and childhood friends, enjoyed golf and they were members of the West Tennessee Seniors Golf Association.

Our dad's favorite post retirement job was at the Madison County Chancery Court, where he held many positions. He loved his courthouse family and they became lifelong friends and family to him and all of us. They have done so much for our family throughout the years and their kindness cannot be put into words.

Dad was heartbroken after Sissy's passing in 2021. Once again, his resilience and the loving care he received from our brother Greg enabled him to live 5 more vibrant years. We are grateful for each moment with our unique and one of a kind dad. We will miss him terribly.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Arianna "Sissy" Robins, sister Becky Voegeli and his son-in-law Mark Franks, Sr. He is survived by his children, Rick Robins, Arianna Lynn (Bob) Hahn, Greg Robins, and Sally Franks. Grandchildren Stephanie (Dale) Massey, Mark (Shelby) Franks, Anthony Franks, Daniel Hahn, Peter ( Ali) Hahn, Maggie and Lily Robins. Great-grandchildren Sara, Abbey Kate and John Mark Massey, Andrew, Michael and Alexander Franks, James, Henry and Grant Hahn and numerous loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Our family gives a heartfelt thank you to Maggie Carter, RN who gave comfort and love to our father when we could not be there, due to the ice storm. We hope you know how special you are to us and always were to our dad.

No funeral is planned at this time per request.
