Our family is thankful to have been blessed with the 97 years of life of Evelyn Ruth Thomas, who passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026. A lifetime of memories will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Evelyn was born on August 15, 1928, the daughter of the late Ray and Zelma Stanfill Bumpus. She was a member of Cotton Grove Baptist Church, where at a young age she began playing piano. She felt God had blessed her with the ability to play the piano by ear and accepted every opportunity during her lifetime to honor Him.

Along with her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Charles V. Thomas, daughter, Lesa Holloway, sisters, Dorothy Winslow and Gwen Daniel. She is survived by her son, Jeff Thomas (Dawn), daughter, Susan Price (Benny) and sister, Linda Warmath, all of Jackson. Meme to six grandchildren, Brent Price (Julie) of Jackson, Beth Richardson (Shelby) of Medina, Trey Holloway (Torrey) and Seth Holloway of Colorado Springs, Anna Baker (Jake) of Soddy Daisy and Ashley Thomas of Nashville. Meme T. to eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Claire and Jake Richardson; Ava, Ruthie and Bennett Price; Wrenley Holloway and Della Baker. Many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private family service and burial will be held. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremy Warmath, Rusty Winslow, Brent Price, Trey Holloway, Seth Holloway and Jake Baker.
