Evelyn Frances Hill, age 85, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 in Jackson, TN. Ms. Hill was born in Westport, TN on January 24, 1931, the daughter of the late Wade and Ollie Hilliard. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ben and Cola Hilliard; and Bud and Becky Brewer; and a brother, Glen Hilliard, all of Westport, Tennessee. She is survived by her son, Darrell Hill and wife Judy of Jackson, TN; her daughters, Judy Doyle and husband Chris and Lori Greer and husband Milton, all of Jackson, TN. She leaves behind six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Peggy Primeaux and husband Ogden, of Jackson, TN and a niece and nephew, Mark and Cheryl Todd of Huntingdon, TN. Ms. Hill was Baptist in belief. She enjoyed singing hymns to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved good food and socializing, visiting with friends and family, and she had a wonderful charm, smile and laugh. Ms. Hill can be best remembered in the words of her granddaughter, Kristen: "Nana was a one of a kind lady. Anyone who knew her knew this. She told you exactly what was on her mind, there was never a dull moment with her, and she loved abundantly all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Our Nana used to love to dance when she was able, and we are sure that is exactly what she is doing right now! We will miss her more than she would like for us to! All our love, Our Nana!". SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors in Jackson, TN with Dr. Jerry Tidwell officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Burial will take place at Hampton Cemetery in Huntingdon, TN. Pallbearers to serve will be Seth Doyle, Zach Doyle, Todd McCarter, Alan Polk, Tab Vowell and Gordon White. Honorary Pallbearers are Billy Gowan, Milton Greer, and Ogden Primeaux.
