Ellawyn Grace
Rasnic
December 20, 2025 – December 20, 2025
Ellawyn Grace Rasnic
On Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the early morning hours, Ellawyn Grace Rasnic entered this world at home. She weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces, measured 20½ inches long, and arrived with a full head of dark hair and beautiful deep blue eyes. Her parents, Allison and Jeremy, chose her name with great care—Ellawyn meaning "beautiful joy," and Grace representing God's unmerited favor poured out through Christ.
Though Ellawyn's time on earth was far shorter than anyone had hoped, every moment was a gift from the Lord. Born at 3:00 a.m., she was soon rushed to Jackson-Madison County Hospital and then to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis. There, after much intervention, she succumbed to heart complications and slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus while surrounded by her loving family at 4:12 p.m. In those precious final hours, her parents and family held her close, spoke their love over her, and treasured those fleeting moments—memories they will carry in their hearts forever.
Ellawyn's brief life touched her family deeply, and they long to see her again on that final day with her perfect resurrected body. She is a reminder of the fragility of life in this fallen world, stirring hearts to long for the return of King Jesus, who will one day wipe away every tear, make all things new, and cast sin, death, and Satan into the lake of fire, never to harm His children again. Her days were ordained by God before one of them came to be (Psalm 139:16), and He makes no mistakes.
Ellawyn will be forever cherished by her devoted parents, Allison and Jeremy Rasnic, who welcomed her with overflowing joy and hearts full of love. She joins a lively, loving family that includes her siblings—Graysen, Gavin, Lorelei, and Peyton—who were able to meet their little sister and hold her in their arms.
She is also deeply loved and remembered by her grandparents: Chuck and Peggi Seaman of Mt. Juliet, TN; Rose and Charles Haines of Charleston, MO; and Jack and Janet Rasnic of Essex, MO. Her uncles Jeff (Sara) Seaman, Scott (Haley) Seaman, and Jonathan (Hannah) Rasnic; her aunts Jennifer (Luke) Townsend and Kristen (Jonathan) Hall; and her many cousins who will carry her memory with tender affection.
