Edward "Eddie Ray" H.
Osborn, Jr.
March 9, 1952 – March 19, 2026
Edward "Eddie Ray" H. Osborn, Jr., a cherished member of the Jackson community, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, in his beloved hometown of Jackson, Tennessee. Born on March 9, 1952, also in Jackson, Eddie Ray's life was a testament to his commitment to his roots, his passion for his interests, and his dedication to service.
Eddie Ray was an esteemed professional, having invested several successful years as the Controller of Butts Foods, where he was respected for his meticulousness and earnest work. His professional achievements were paralleled by his extensive involvement with the Elks Lodge Post #192, where he proudly held the title of Exalted Ruler, an honor that spoke volumes about his character and his contribution to the organization. His work with the Elks Lodge was more than a duty; it was a devotion, a commitment to the betterment of his community through service and fellowship.
As a big Tennessee Volunteers fan, Eddie Ray's enthusiasm for college sports was infectious. Rarely would he miss an opportunity to cheer on his team, bringing people together in celebration of the spirit of the game. His involvement with the Elks Lodge Post #192 went beyond mere membership; he nurtured friendships that became as close as family, creating an extended family bound by mutual respect and affection.
His happiest moments were those spent in the fresh air, with Suzy Q trotting along at his side. This routine was more than exercise; it was a cherished ritual that reflected Eddie's dedication and the depth of his bond with his devoted canine friend.
Left to cherish his memory is his niece, Krista Peck; great-niece, Maci Peck; great nephew, Jaxon Wilson; sister-in-law, Nancy Gay (Jerry); brother-in-law, Paul Reck; stepdaughter, Tiffany Johnson; step-grandchildren, Jacob McGraw, Hayden Johnson, and Harrison Johnson; and several close friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Susan Louise Osborn; parents, Edward and Elizabeth Osborn; stepson, Christopher McGraw; brother, Theo Duncan Osborn; and sister, Virginia Osborn Mashburn.
