Dr. R. Keith Absher, beloved husband, father. Grandfather, teacher, and friend, departed this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. He was born in Cullman, Alabama, to Lodia and Ora Lee Absher, and was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mattie Whitsett. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Matthews Absher; children, Angela (Travis) and Darrell (Heather); sister, Barbara (Ike) Hibbett; nine grandchildren; and dozens of nieces and nephews. SERVICE: A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 27, 2015 at Englewood Baptist Church. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM at Englewood Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Wayne Adomyetz, Doug Brown, John Jenkins, Robert Simpson, Bill Stewart, Ronnie Voss, Doug Walker and Bill Yuille. Honorary pallbearers will be the Union University School of Business faculty and the Jenkins/Absher/Walker Sunday school class of Englewood Baptist Church.
