Deborah "Debbie" Hardin passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was surrounded by her family during her final moments, leaving behind a legacy marked by both her professional accomplishments and the love she fostered among those closest to her.
She was born on August 8, 1951, in Fayette County, TN. the daughter of the late Jack and Rose Marie White Cooper, Debbie spent her youth in Whiteville attending Whiteville Elementary and graduating from Whiteville High School. She was a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree as a medical technologist. She later received her certification as a National Certified Hematologist Specialist, leading to a remarkable career spanning thirty-eight years at West Tennessee Healthcare. She had a genuine love for the patients that she cared for.
She was an avid golfer at the Jackson National Golf Club, where she held the title of Women's Club Champion for several years. In addition to golfing, she enjoyed playing tennis with her friends, nurturing both her competitive spirit and camaraderie.
Debbie's pride in her profession was evident, as she was a respected member of the National Certified Hematologist Specialist and ASCP. She approached her responsibilities with dedication and infused her work with compassion.
She is survived by her loving husband of forty-eight years, E. Marbry Hardin III of Jackson, TN; her son, E. Marbry Hardin IV, and his wife, Rosemary Deal of McMinnville, TN; and her brother, Tony Cooper, and his wife, Charla of Bolivar, TN, along with her special friends, Jan Smith, Martha McDonald and all the girls.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Alex Z. Cooper.
SERVICES: A visitation to honor Debbie will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors Following the visitation, a Graveside service will be held at Ridgecrest Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Mike Bryant, John Cooper, Dwight Hillhouse, Tommy McDonald, Jarod Vonderheide and Ned White.
The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to the First Methodist Church of Whiteville, TN, 219 Main Street, Whiteville, TN 38075.
Debbie Hardin will be remembered not only for her professional excellence and achievements but also for the love she shared with her family and friends, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. Her passion for life, her work, and her loved ones will continue to inspire those lucky enough to have known her.
