David W. Pierce, 61, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born May 13, 1954 in Jackson, TN the son of the late Douglas Pierce and Ruth Ann Pierce, who survives. David was a graduate of Old Hickory Academy. He loved Drag Racing, BMX Motocross and his animals. David also loved to grill and was very good at smoking meats. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Joanne Pierce; his mother, Ruth Ann Pierce; his sons, David Wayne Pierce II of Texas, Jeremy Blount of Nashville, TN and Will Drury of Jackson, TN; a sister, Denise Fullington of Bemis, TN; a nephew, Justin Fullington of Jackson, TN; five grandchildren, Jackson Blount, Keegan Blount, Tysun Sikes, Emery Fitch and Harlee Fitch and his beloved dog, Smokey. David was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Sumler SERVICES: Funeral services for Mr. Pierce will be held 1:00 PM Monday, January 25, 2016 at Arrington Funeral Directors with Jeremy Blount officiating.
