Dale H. Moser, aged 92, of Jackson, TN, peacefully entered his heavenly home at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
He was born on April 7, 1932, in Allentown, PA, the son of the late John Henry and Dorothy Ruth Henry Moser. Dale led a life full of dedication, accomplishment, and joyful memories that will be cherished by many.
Dale proudly served his country as an airplane mechanic in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Following his service, he built a remarkable career with Air Products and Chemical, dedicating over fifty years to the company. His journey began in Allentown, PA, and led him to Mt. Pleasant, TN, in 1978, and subsequently to Jackson, TN, in 1984. Dale retired from his role as Nitrogen Plant Superintendent, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and excellence.
A passionate outdoorsman, Dale loved deer hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and enjoy the beauty of the world around him. He was also a member of the Southwest Tennessee Archers, honing his skills in a sport that he truly loved and achieved a title of National Champion through the Senior Games. His love for aviation extended beyond his military service, as he held a private pilot's license, exemplifying his adventurous spirit.
Dale's warm personality endeared him to many, and he was known for his love of dining out, often seen weekly at local restaurants where he made countless friends. His life was enriched by the relationships he built and the stories he shared.
Dale's proudest accomplishments include his significant contribution in the 1950s as part of the team responsible for installing system on the Aircraft Carrier Midway to enhance the aircraft catapult capabilities, a testament to his skills and dedication.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Sumler Moser; sons, Paul Moser and wife Kelly of Fleming Island, FL, and Stephen Moser and wife Sharon of Jackson, TN; daughters, Andrea Solderitch and husband Greg of Bethlehem, PA, son, Alan Sotak and wife Pati of Slatington, PA, and daughter, Claire Williams and husband Ron of Bethlehem, PA; grandchildren, Shelby Moser and wife Katie, Joshua Moser, Paige Moser, Mark Phillips, and Krissy Scott; niece Cynthia McKenzie and husband David; and six great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Sotak, and sister, Jane Sampson.
SERVICE: A service to honor Dale's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2025, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery with Military honors.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m. and continuing until 2:00 p.m.,
Dale H. Moser will be remembered not only for his remarkable achievements and love for family but also for his generous spirit and zest for life. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know and love him.
