Charles Ronald McGuire

Charles Ronald McGuire, age 87, passed away on October 6, 2026, at his home in Jackson, TN, with his wife and son by his side. He was born to the late Jim and Bonnie McGuire on March 21, 1939 in Dyer County. 

After returning home from a tour of duty with the U.S. Army, he began his career in manufacturing.  Starting as an entry level production worker and rising through the management ranks to eventually plant manager.  He was the plant manager of WIidsor Forestry Tools, located in Milan and Dyer, TN.  He retired in December 2001. 

After his retirement, he was able to truly enjoy his golden years with his loving wife, Billie.

He is survived by his wife, Billie McGuire; son, Darren McGuire (Michelle) of Collierville, TN; daughter-in-law, Cindy McGuire of Newbern, TN; stepsons, Don McLemore of Houston, TX and Kent McLemore of Jackson, TN; stepdaughter, Barbara Melvin of Ashville, NC; two brothers, Sammy McGuire and Dave McGuire of Dyersburg, TN; grandsons, Kyle McGuire and Keith McGuire; granddaughters, Anita McGuire and Colleen McGuire. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving son, Marty McGuire; six brothers, George Henson, William McGuire (Peg), Gene McGuire, Glenn McGuire, Jimmy McGuire, and twin, Donald McGuire. 

A graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2026, at Hickory Flat Cemetery in Cedar Grove, TN.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Jackson Baptist Church.
