Obituary

Carol Fullerton Peterson, age 74, died on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Bells Nursing Home. Carol was born and raised in Oakfield, TN the daughter of the late Louis Fullerton, Sr. and Neely Osborne Fullerton. She was retired as the Account Manager with GMAC with thirty years of service. She was a member of Englewood Baptist Church and the Carol Bevins Sunday school class. She was a volunteer with AARP as a tax preparer for many years and served as a volunteer poll worker for many years. She is survived by her son, Mike Holt and wife Julie and their children, Megan and Robert Holt of Jackson, TN; her brother, Louis Fullerton, Jr and wife Sadie of Jackson, TN; her nephew, James Fullerton and wife Terry; step-children, Denise Fullington and her son Justin Fullington, Vanessa Whaley and children, Wesley and Corey Whaley, Brenda Wyatt and Autumn Sumler and David Pierce, Jr.; and Mikes father, Bobby Holt of Jackson, TN. She was preceded in death by husbands, Douglas Wayne Pierce and Roy Peterson and step-children, David Pierce, Sr. and Lisa Sumler and a very close friend of many years Rebecca Bowers. SERVICES: A funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Philip Jett officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
