Brooks P. Douglass, Jr., entered his eternal home on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at the age of 65. He was born in Jackson, Tennessee on December 17, 1957, the son of the late Brooks P. Douglass, Sr, and Eva Barrett Douglass. He was a graduate of Union University and served in the Tennessee National Guard, retiring from the State of Tennessee as an Auditor with the Department of Commerce and Insurance. He was a lifelong member of St. Marys Catholic Church of Jackson, where he was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an active member of Jackson Elks Lodge #192 in Jackson, for a number of years. Brooks was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time at the Tennessee River. He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Joanna Davis Douglass of Jackson, TN; three sisters, Beverly Johnson and husband Stan of Jackson, TN, Sharyn Williams and husband Don of Humboldt, TN and Yvonne OConnor of Weston, WI, as well, as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. SERVICES: A memorial service for Brooks will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2023, at St. Marys Catholic Church with Father David Graham officiating.
