Brenda Gail York McDonald (September 24, 1946- July 10, 2024) Ms. Brenda McDonald, 77, of Jackson Tennessee went home to be with the Lord July 10, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. at Maplewood Healthcare of Jackson. She was surrounded by family and entered into heaven gently and peacefully. SERVICE: Funeral Services for Brenda will be conducted on Tuesday July 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday July 16, 2024, beginning at 12 pm and continuing until service time. Ms. McDonald was born September 24, 1946, in Milan, Tennessee to the late Archie York and Jennie Dathel York Gateley. She was a retired dispatcher for PTL Truck Line. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Joe Gateley Jr. She is survived by her two sons Brian Mark McDonald (wife Stephanie) and Terry McDonald (wife Tracy), her brother Richard York (wife Matchie), two stepsisters Molly Thompson (husband Billy), Joy Olree, and stepbrother Alan Gateley. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren Tyler McDonald, Taylor McDonald wife (Jessie), Travis McDonald, Tori McDonald, Andrew McDonald (wife Liz), Brianna McDonald. She is also the proud great grandmother of 3 great grandchildren Annie and Eli McDonald, Jones Tallen McDonald. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Mama was the life of the party and never failed to add laughter and light to whatever situation we may have found ourselves in. Even when things were not the best, mom could always find some comical way to turn our frowns upside down. Mom no matter where I was or what I was doing you always were there for me and I know that Brian and I will miss you greatly, but I am so glad that I know I will see you again in heaven.
