Obituary

Brenda Kay Edwards Hill moved on to her heavenly home on December 1, 2025. Brenda spent her last few weeks surrounded by family who loved and cared for her during her time in hospice as she loved and cared for them for many years.

Brenda was born to her parents J.W. (Wilburn) and Dorothy Edwards in Huntingdon, TN. (She did not share the year when she was alive so we will respect that now.) Brenda was preceded in death by her twin Linda Faye and her parents and grandparents: Edgar and Era Edwards (Howe) and Orville and Lura Higdon.

Brenda leaves behind her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald Hill and her three daughters: Heather Hall (Kevin Hall), Holly Latham (Paul Latham), and Heidi Hill. She also leaves the absolute joys of her life, her two grandchildren - Alexander Hall and Katelyn Latham.

Brenda grew up in Huntingdon, TN and enjoyed being a cheerleader and Miss Huntingdon. She played the piano in church while her dad led the singing for revivals.

She knew from a very young age that she was meant to be a nurse. She graduated with her nursing degree from Union University and had a fulfilling career as a registered nurse at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital (West TN Healthcare), Regional Hospital in Jackson, and Maury Regional Hospital. She met her husband on the job, and they both worked in the medical field for many years.

Brenda loved being a wife and mother. She loved having three girls. We will always remember the care she took to make Christmas so special for us all. The care she took to create traditions was important and we carry those on today. She also loved taking us all to the beach. We have many wonderful memories of the Gulf Coast. Brenda also loved music. We had a home filled with gospel music and lots of oldies!

Brenda lived a life of faith. Whether it was getting three girls up and ready for church or hosting a home Bible study, Brenda always did her best to live out her beliefs. Her faith helped sustain her through physical disability and long illness. When she couldn't care for others physically, she could offer her love and heartfelt prayers.

Please join us in remembering the love and light Brenda shared in the world. You are welcome to join us at Arrington Funeral Directors on Sunday, December 7th for visitation at 1:00 pm and service at 2:30 pm.
