Betty J. Elinor, age 76, died on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her Jackson, TN residence. Betty was born on January 14, 1932, the seventh child of Fred and Lennie Clement of McKenzie, TN. She was a 1959 graduate of McKenzie High School where she was a Majorette with the Band. She was married to Ben Elinor in 1959, who preceded her in death. She was a resident of Memphis, TN most of her life retiring from the Shelby County Sheriffs department as a deputy. She later retired as a hairdresser and masseuse. She loved music, dancing, traveling and beaches. She was continually enriching her spirituality under the teaching and discipleship under J. Vernon McGee, Dr. Charles Stanley and Dr. Adrian Rogers. She was a member of Wells Station Baptist Church of Memphis, TN. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Pilgram Rest Cemetery in Carroll County.
