Obituary

Jane Campbell, a devout Christian and cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at the age of 84 in Jackson, Tennessee.

She was born on October 17, 1941, in Enville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Cecil Ferrell Johnson. Jane's life was a testament to her loving, friendly, and adventurous spirit.

Jane's early education was completed at Chester County High School, where she displayed a passion for learning and community. After graduation, she embarked on a lifelong journey of service alongside her late husband, Wilbur Campbell. Together, they co-owned Wilbur Campbell Backhoe and Dozer, where Jane's hard work and dedication were instrumental in the business's success. Her work ethic and commitment to her family's legacy left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

A devoted mother, Jane's love and guidance shaped the lives of her son Randy Campbell and his wife Cindy, and her daughter Sherry Roby. Her role as a sibling was filled with fond memories and unwavering support for her brother Bryant Johnson and his wife Carol, and her sisters Roselyn Seaton, Linda Jarrett, and Brenda Goodman and her husband Bill. Jane's joy was multiplied through her cherished grandchildren Rusty and wife Paula, Brock, Randall, and MaryJane and her fiancé Everett Perrine, and great-grandchildren Noah, Hayden, Jacoby, Lainy, Trinity, and Eden.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur, a grandson, Rance Roby, a son-in-law, Charlie Roby and a sister, Joyce Djerf and her husband Bill

As a steadfast member of Campbell Street Church of Christ, Jane's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She was actively involved in Ladies Day activities and found great fulfillment in visiting those who were shut-in, providing comfort and companionship. Jane's commitment to her faith and community was unwavering, and she inspired many through her actions and kind words.

Jane's interests extended beyond her immediate surroundings as she and her husband embarked on a remarkable journey, visiting 49 of the 50 United States. This sense of adventure and love for exploration was a source of many stories and memories that will be cherished by her family and friends.
