Archie M. Welch, 73, died on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born on June 30, 1939 in Medina, TN, the son of the late James Aaron and Myra L. Dunavan Welch. He served his country in the United States Army from 1962-1964. He was a retired thirty-five year employee as an Electronics Technician from Bell South and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a C.W.A. Life Member. He was married to Janet Foose Welch who preceded him in death in 2000. He is survived by his sons, Chad Welch and fiance Stephanie of Gainesville, FL and Michael Welch and wife Charolette of Henderson, TN; a brother, James Welch and wife Shirley of Humboldt, TN; and two grandchildren Perry and Elizabeth Welch. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. A private committal service will be held in the Centerville Cemetery in Medina, TN. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the service.
