Ann Long Dougan

Ann Long Dougan, aged 82, peacefully departed this life and entered her heavenly home on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at her residence in Huntersville, TN, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 10, 1943, in Jackson, TN, Ann exemplified a vibrant spirit and a strong personality that left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

For several years, Ann was employed with Quaker Oats but her true passion, however, lays in her role as a mother, where she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her family. Ann cherished the outdoors, relishing moments spent in nature, and found joy in reading and listening to Blues music. A lover of puzzles, she found particular delight in working crossword puzzles in ink, a testament to her sharp mind and determination.

Ann and her husband, John P. (Pat) Dougan, shared a life filled with love and adventure. Together, they were active members of the Parkway Christian Car Club, enjoying the camaraderie and fellowship that came with their shared interests. She is survived by her devoted husband, son Steven Todd Dougan, daughter Crystal Cook, brother James Randall Long, and grandchildren Caitlin Cook, Conor Cook (Seda), Samuel "Sam" Todd Dougan, and Suzanne D. Willis. Ann's legacy continues with her five great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the values and love she instilled in her family.

She is predeceased by her parents, A. W. and Opal Northcott Long, and her brother Bill Long. Ann Long Dougan's memory will forever be cherished by those who loved her, reflecting a life rich in love, laughter, and lasting connections.

SERVICE: A visitation to honor Ann will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Ararat Baptist Church, located at 3620 Brownsville Hwy, Jackson, TN, followed by a graveside service at Ararat Cemetery beginning at 11:30 AM with Rev. Bryan Morris officiating.
