Funeral services for James M. Sharp, 82, will be held at 2:00 PM today at Browns United Methodist Church, with Rev. Bob Ervin officiating. Burial will follow in the Browns Cemetery. Mr. Sharp died on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Primacy Parkway Nursing Center in Memphis, TN.A life-long resident of the Browns Church Community, he was born on December 22, 1927 the son of the late Robert and Etheleen Peters Sharp. He was a self employed farmer and cattleman.He is survived by a daughter, Becky Sharp Gerson and husband Fred of Jackson, TN; two sons, Butch Sharp and wife Joy of Memphis, TN and Bob Sharp and wife DeAnne Hare of Jackson, TN; five grandchildren, Shawn Gerson Jordan and husband Jay, Jennifer Sharp Campbell and husband Jay, Ben Sharp and wife Misty, Jeremy Sharp and wife Mary Hunter and John Sharp and wife Chasidi and two great grandchildren, River and Canyon Sharp.He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Sharp.Pallbearers will be Ben Sharp, Jeremy Sharp, John Sharp, Fred Gerson, Greg Rushing and Jay Campbell.The family will be receiving friends today from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Browns United Methodist Church prior to the funeral service.
